Story
Ingrida and Morta were close friends in their youth when they worked together in the same magazine. After years of being together, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation. When Pedro Almodóvar sent the script to Tilda Swinton, he asked who should play Ingrid. Both were referring to Julianne Moore. Featured in The 7PM Project: 2024 September 8 (2024) released episode. Pedro Almodóvar once again takes us on a slightly surreal visual journey with plenty of reliable tropes we’re all used to. In the end, I wished this movie was maybe in Spanish because the English dialogue felt stilted and artificial. I didn’t believe in the characters and somehow there wasn’t much chemistry between them. Some scenes felt unnecessary as they did nothing to move the story forward or add depth to the already weak characters. Both leads ooze charisma, but it wasn’t enough to take them to the next level. I recommend this movie if you need decorating and/or color scheme tips.
